What to Order at Jamon Jamon Soho: Tapas, Paella & a Night Downstairs
Planning a meal at Jamon Jamon Soho? Here’s how to build a table of tapas, when to add paella, and how to turn dinner into a full Soho night.
If you are coming to Jamon Jamon Soho and want to know what to order, the easiest answer is: build the meal around sharing.
Our Soho restaurant is in the middle of the West End, so tables come in for very different kinds of nights—quick tapas before the theatre, longer dinners with friends, dates, and evenings that continue downstairs for salsa or comedy.
Where is Jamon Jamon Soho?
Jamon Jamon Soho is at 3 Caxton Walk, London WC2H 8PW, around five minutes on foot from Piccadilly Circus and within easy reach of Covent Garden and the West End theatres. If location is the main reason for your search, see our guides to finding a restaurant in Soho and a restaurant near Piccadilly Circus.
The central location means you can keep the meal short if you have somewhere to be afterwards—or order another round of tapas and stay longer if you do not.
Start with a few tapas
For a first visit, variety matters more than ordering a huge amount of one thing. We would rather see a table try several different textures and flavours.
Padrón Peppers

Our Padrón Peppers are lightly pan-fried until blistered and finished with salt. Most are mild and smoky, with the occasional spicy surprise.
Chorizo al Vino
Spanish chorizo slow-cooked in red wine brings something richer to the table: smoky, savoury and ideal alongside lighter tapas.
Huevos Rotos
Crispy fried potatoes topped with fried eggs, lightly broken so the yolk runs into the potatoes. It is simple Spanish comfort food and particularly good for sharing.

The classics
Patatas Bravas, Croquetas de Jamón, Gambas al Ajillo and Jamón Ibérico are the sort of dishes that let you build a recognisably Spanish table without everyone ordering the same thing.
Then consider a paella for the table
Tapas give you variety. Paella gives the table a centrepiece. One of our favourite ways to eat is to begin with several small plates, then share a paella once everyone has settled in.
If you have a theatre booking, you may prefer to stay with tapas. If the evening is open-ended, paella turns the meal into something slower.
And downstairs?
Our Soho basement hosts events including salsa classes and social dancing, comedy nights, and selected wine or flamenco events. That means you can eat upstairs and make the basement the second half of the evening.
What should two people order?
A simple starting point would be four or five tapas with different textures: Padrón Peppers, Croquetas, Chorizo al Vino, Gambas al Ajillo and one potato-based dish such as Patatas Bravas or Huevos Rotos.
If you are still hungry, order more—or add paella. Tapas are flexible enough that you do not need to decide the whole meal in advance.
What should a group order?
For a larger table, widen the range instead of simply doubling the same few dishes. Add cured ham, vegetables, seafood and meat so everyone has several things to try.
Sharing is the point. The strongest tables are usually the ones where nobody is eating one plate by themselves.
Explore the dishes: Padrón Peppers, Huevos Rotos, Chorizo al Vino, Gambas al Ajillo, Croquetas de Jamón, Patatas Bravas and Seafood Paella.
